monday.com is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Professional Services team in London. You will own the technical delivery of solutions that embed the monday.com AI Work Platform into customer enterprise tech stacks through integration, custom application development, and agentic AI engineering. Working directly with customers, you will transform business problems into production systems that drive measurable business outcomes.
As a senior member of the team, you will set the technical direction for complex EMEA engagements, including outcome-based projects where monday.com delivers working business results. You will raise the technical bar of the London team and help shape the global Services tooling roadmap.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end technical design of complex, multi-workstream engagements: architecture, integration approach, security, governance, and pilot-to-scale pathways
- Lead technical scoping before and after the sale, breaking business problems into deliverable solutions and shaping delivery plans with account and strategy teams
- Deliver outcome-based engagements measured by production business results (throughput, cycle time, manual effort reduction)
- Engineer complex agentic AI solutions using monday.com's developer tools, APIs, MCP, and apps framework for data migrations, enterprise system integrations (ERP, CRM, ITSM, data platforms), and custom applications
- Lead technical consulting engagements applying expertise in AI transformation, system scale, security, user governance, and data architecture
- Navigate both complex team-based engagements and standalone projects, managing customer communication and delivery
- Mentor and review other engineers' work, setting standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and AI reliability
- Produce documentation, walkthroughs, and exit artifacts enabling customers to operate, maintain, and extend solutions
- Advocate for customer needs with Product and R&D teams
- Contribute to the global Services tooling roadmap and shared asset library
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the London office, with up to 20% travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years as a forward deployed engineer, software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical consultant in enterprise software, with a track record of leading hands-on technical delivery for external customers in complex enterprise environments
- Breadth across the stack with strong AI depth; comfortable full-stack rather than specialized frontend or backend only
- Fluency in Generative and Agentic AI development: LLM-based workflows, agent orchestration and tool use, context and retrieval design, with AI-assisted editors (Cursor, Claude Code) in daily use
- Experience keeping AI reliable in production: evaluation harnesses, guardrails, human-in-the-loop review, tracing, and understanding failure modes that emerge post-launch
- Strong working knowledge of APIs (REST, GraphQL), webhooks, MCP, identity management (SCIM), and authentication protocols (SAML 2.0 / OAuth 2.0)
- Software development experience in TypeScript and JavaScript, with depth in React or Node.js; full-stack experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in enterprise data mobility and integrations: SQL, scripts, and n8n or Workato automations for data migration and transformation
- Production engineering practice: version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment to AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience scoping, estimating technical work, and owning delivery against agreed outcomes, timelines, or commercial commitments
- Consultative skills to understand business problems, frame solutions for senior stakeholders, and explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Adaptability across customers, technology stacks, and unfamiliar domains with resilience to mid-engagement direction changes
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously with strong project management habits
- Positive attitude, empathy, high energy, initiative, and willingness to learn new technology
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience also considered
