Mechademy is transforming predictive analytics for rotating machinery with Turbomechanica, a physics-informed ML platform that detects equipment issues before they become costly failures. The company serves enterprise operators in power generation, LNG, refining, and pipeline sectors.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise customers to deploy Turbomechanica into production environments. This is a technical, customer-facing role at the intersection of software engineering, solutions architecture, and customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy Turbomechanica integrations for enterprise operators using Python, JavaScript, APIs, historians, CMMS/ERP systems, and other plant systems
- Design prototypes, demos, and production-ready implementations
- Drive projects from initial concept through production deployment
- Partner directly with customers to gather requirements and translate operating problems into technical solutions
- Translate customer feedback into product improvements and new capabilities
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams
- Build fluency in physics-informed modeling, anomaly detection, and diagnostics workflows for turbines, compressors, pumps, and engines
The role offers significant ownership and visibility from day one, exposure to physics-informed ML on live industrial systems, and the opportunity to help define the future of industrial AI. The company is small, high-performing, and on a massive growth trajectory.
Requirements:
For candidates with 2+ years of experience: 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Software Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Product Management, Customer Success Engineering, or Founder/Startup experience); strong software engineering fundamentals and production-level experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar; experience working directly with customers and external stakeholders.
For recent graduates: degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline; internship experience in software engineering or technical customer-facing role preferred; strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar.
For all candidates: comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments; strong communication and presentation skills; interest in industrial technology, applied ML, and physics-informed modeling; ability to take ownership and learn quickly.
