Genomics is a science-led transatlantic TechBio combining large-scale genetic and health data with proprietary analytics to accelerate drug discovery and advance predictive, preventative healthcare. The company operates in two areas: supercharging drug discovery through an AI-enabled advanced genetic analytics platform, and helping people understand their personal risk of common chronic diseases via polygenic risk scores. In this Director role, you will own the company's data sourcing and partnerships strategy. Key responsibilities include: - Scanning the competitive and scientific landscape for new data modalities, cohorts, and therapeutic-area coverage, translating findings into a prioritized roadmap for Data and Research Engineering teams. - Owning the data sourcing and partnerships framework across all tiers, negotiating access and commercial terms with biobanks, health data networks, and other TechBios. - Building business cases for new data investments and securing buy-in from senior stakeholders across tech, legal, business development, and commercial teams. - Building and maintaining relationships with strategic external partners and the wider scientific community, including leading cross-institutional workshops or consortia. - Working with engineering leadership to operationalize new data sources into the platform, making them actionable for consulting teams and Life Science partners. You will report to senior leadership and serve as a credible strategic partner to engineering, legal, commercial, and scientific functions. REQUIREMENTS: - Designed and executed a genetic/genomic data strategy at biobank or population-cohort scale, with demonstrated ability to identify dataset gaps. - Negotiated data access and commercial terms with academic, government, non-profit, and industry partners, including complex multi-party data sharing agreements. - Strong grounding in statistical/population genetics (GWAS and post-GWAS methods) sufficient to independently judge the scientific and commercial value of datasets or partnerships. - Track record of winning senior executive buy-in and serving as a credible strategic partner to engineering, legal, commercial, and scientific leadership. - Led or contributed to multi-institutional collaborations or consortia; able to explain complex data strategy clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. - PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in genetics, genomics, statistical genetics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative discipline.
