Augeo is a global leader in enterprise-level engagement and loyalty platform technology serving hundreds of clients, including 65 Fortune 500 companies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Augeo's CI/CD pipelines, container infrastructure, cloud environments, and DevSecOps practices across the engineering organization.
You will work across three distinct technology ecosystems: the AWE platform (TypeScript/React/Node.js/AWS), the Encore platform (.NET/C#/SQL Server), and ColdFusion platforms (Lucee/ColdBox/MySQL), each with unique build, deployment, and infrastructure requirements. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, defining pipeline-as-code standards, automating build/test/deployment processes, and supporting containerized application deployments using Podman and Amazon ECS.
You'll assist in provisioning and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53) using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. You'll write and maintain PowerShell scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks across Windows and Linux environments. The role includes supporting automated security compliance checks and vulnerability remediation workflows for SOC 2 Type II, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory requirements.
You'll participate in security audits of infrastructure and pipelines, use AI-powered operations tools (AIOps) and agentic AI assistants to support monitoring and incident response, and help build and deploy AI agents to accelerate DevOps workflows. You'll participate in incident response and production reliability practices, including on-call rotation and post-incident reviews. The position operates in a professional office environment with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel for team gatherings and client engagements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, including workflow design, environment secrets, and AWS deployment integration
- Exposure to Podman for container image builds and management, including rootless containers and Podman Compose
- Familiarity with Amazon ECS (Fargate and/or EC2 launch types), task definitions, service configurations, and ECR/CloudWatch integration
- Some experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar)
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices such as SAST (SonarQube, Checkmarx), DAST (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite), SCA (Snyk, Dependabot), or container image scanning (Trivy, Grype)
- Familiarity with secrets management solutions (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or similar)
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack, New Relic, or similar)
- Willingness to learn deployment and infrastructure needs of .NET/C#, Node.js/TypeScript, and ColdFusion/Lucee applications
- Interest in AI agent development for automated incident response and infrastructure self-healing
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC design, security groups, NACLs, DNS, CDN, load balancing) in AWS
- Four-year college degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Prior mentorship or team-lead experience is a plus but not required
- Relevant certifications are a plus (AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or similar)
