Confido is an AI operating system for cash application, deductions, trade, and planning in the CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry. The platform processes remittances, deductions, retailer disputes, and trade spend for 250+ brands managing $30B+ in revenue, including Daisy, OLIPOP, Simple Mills, and Idahoan. The company recently raised a $55M Series B led by Insight Partners.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will own the infrastructure and tooling that keeps the platform fast, safe, and easy to ship to. When the platform is down or slow, customer cash gets stuck—so reliability is critical. You'll work across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, observability, and security.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Own and improve production infrastructure on AWS, including Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, S3, networking, IAM, and load balancing
- Manage infrastructure as code in Terraform to ensure all changes are reviewable, repeatable, and safely rollback-able
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for Rails, Python, and TypeScript services, including migrations and automated testing
- Expand observability across services using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana to surface issues before customers notice them
- Investigate production incidents, find root causes, and ship lasting fixes rather than manual workarounds
- Make deployments safer through automated checks, progressive rollouts, and clear rollback paths
- Partner with product engineers on local development, test environments, and release workflows
- Track capacity, reliability, and cloud spend, making practical improvements as customer volume grows
- Help define incident response, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices
- Join a shared on-call rotation and improve the on-call experience for the team
This is a hands-on role where you'll split time between planned platform projects and production needs. You'll work closely with product engineers and engineering leadership, and you're expected to form your own opinions about where the platform needs to go and make it happen.
Success milestones: By 30 days, you'll learn the architecture, deployment process, and security controls while shipping changes through the existing pipeline. By 60 days, you'll own a meaningful area such as CI/CD, observability, deployment reliability, or cloud security, and deliver improvements that cut manual work or accelerate releases. By 90 days, you'll land a significant platform improvement with measurable results (faster deploys, fewer incidents, better recovery time, stronger security, or lower cloud cost) and establish a prioritized infrastructure roadmap.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience building and operating production infrastructure for a software product
- Strong AWS experience, including working understanding of networking, compute, storage, databases, and IAM
- Experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid instincts for observability, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis
- Ability to automate operational work in Python, shell, or another language
- Strong security judgment, as customers trust the platform with their financial data
- Ability to turn messy operational problems into simple, maintainable solutions
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience supporting SOC 2 or similar compliance programs
- Experience with systems handling financial, payments, or other sensitive data
- Experience at an early-stage, high-growth B2B SaaS company
