Workstream is a mission-driven Series B company building an all-in-one HR, payroll, and hiring platform for the hourly workforce. With 2.7 billion hourly workers making up 80% of the global workforce, Workstream is purpose-built to help businesses and their employees thrive. The company serves leading brands including Burger King, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, IHOP, KFC, and Culvers, and is backed by top-tier VCs including Founders Fund, BOND, and Coatue. The Chief of Staff will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO and executive leadership team, operating at the intersection of strategy and execution. This is a high-ownership role requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity, learns quickly, and moves fluidly between strategic problem-solving and hands-on execution. Key responsibilities include: partnering directly with the CEO on company strategy and priorities; driving high-priority cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through measurable outcomes; translating CEO priorities into clear action plans with owners, timelines, and accountability; preparing the CEO and executive team for critical meetings and investor discussions; developing analyses and business cases to support strategic decisions; establishing and managing operating rhythms including company goals, KPIs, and business reviews; working across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, People, and Operations to identify and resolve organizational bottlenecks; identifying opportunities to improve company performance and efficiency; and leading special projects requiring rapid execution in ambiguous environments. The ideal candidate is an exceptional generalist who can quickly understand complex problems, structure them clearly, make sound decisions, and drive teams toward outcomes. You should be comfortable operating with limited direction and stepping into whatever problem is most important to the business.
