Bentley Systems is seeking a C++ Engineer to join the SYNCHRO 4D Pro product development team. SYNCHRO 4D Pro is professional construction planning and project delivery software that integrates 3D building information models (BIM) with project schedules to produce 4-dimensional simulations of construction sequencing and lifecycle workflows. The software is used by planners, schedulers, project managers, BIM coordinators, and contractors to plan, visualize, analyze, and optimize construction projects over time.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality C++ applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and DevOps to define requirements and deliver solutions. Key responsibilities include implementing and optimizing algorithms for efficiency and robustness in real-world scenarios, writing clean and well-documented code following best practices, debugging complex issues in existing codebases, and participating in code reviews. You will contribute to system architecture discussions, help improve design patterns and software frameworks, and work with build systems and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth integration and deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years' experience in software development with C++
- Knowledge of scheduling algorithms and performance optimization techniques (highly desirable)
- Experience working with SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
- Working experience with Scrum and agile methodologies
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, testable, efficient, and secure code
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with 3D technologies, computational geometry, or graphics programming (a plus)
- Familiarity with C# test frameworks, data structures, and OOP principles (a plus)
