Mach Industries, founded in 2023, is a rapidly growing defense technology company with ~350 employees focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. This role sits at the heart of vehicle development, bridging guidance/navigation/control (GNC), software, mechanical, and thermal disciplines to create unified platforms with required defense capabilities.
As an Avionics Integration Engineer, you will own the development and integration of avionics systems that connect and enable every other vehicle subsystem. You'll define and maintain avionics functionality across vehicle iterations, develop high-level block diagrams representing system functions and interfaces, and collaborate closely with vehicle teams to define electrical and system requirements. Key responsibilities include designing and providing technical support for iron-birds, prototypes, and special projects; troubleshooting avionics systems in both hardware and software; integrating and testing new systems, sensors, and subsystems with current avionics into new vehicle prototypes; designing post-integration configurations and checks; creating processes and procedures for avionics work; and running tradeoffs across different systems, subsystems, and components.
This is a uniquely challenging role that balances diverse technical demands focused on electronics and software, integrating complex systems, and ensuring every component works together seamlessly to deliver cutting-edge unmanned capabilities. You'll be expected to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
