Gigi is an agentic operating system for enterprise media buying, with a flagship AI media manager for Amazon DSP launched in summer 2025. The company manages hundreds of millions in advertising spend for major agencies and is backed by Golden Ventures and Aperiam Ventures. The founding team brings 15+ years of Amazon Ads and ecommerce experience, including a prior $100M+ exit. You will join as an AI Ads Product Builder/Forward Deployed Engineer, combining advertising domain knowledge, hands-on software development, and client service to build and deploy AI-powered products, workflows, and integrations. You'll work directly with agency leaders, ads managers, and end users, owning the full path from customer conversation to production solution. Key responsibilities include: - Working directly with agency leaders and ads managers to understand business priorities, campaign workflows, reporting needs, and operational challenges. Use advertising knowledge to ask useful questions, explain technical tradeoffs in plain language, and turn ambiguous needs into clear problems and practical solutions. - Shipping end-to-end features from data layer through agent logic to customer-facing interfaces. The stack includes Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, LangChain, TypeScript, Vue, Nuxt, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, pgvector, Redis, NATS, and AWS. - Building with AI as a core part of your development workflow, using Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents to plan, implement, test, debug, and review software while remaining responsible for architecture, quality, and correctness. - Connecting Gigi to advertising workflows by building integrations with advertising tools, APIs, and data sources. Handle permissions, data mapping, failures, and operational details needed for reliable cross-system solutions. - Building solutions that strengthen the product by working with Product and Engineering to decide what becomes shared features, reusable integrations, or agency-specific configurations. - Designing and building reliable agentic systems with tools, retrieval, memory, evaluations, guardrails, and human approval flows that make Gigi dependable enough to take action inside real advertising accounts. - Delivering strong client experience through discovery, prototyping, implementation, and rollout. Own communication of progress and setbacks, help clients adopt solutions, and iterate based on feedback and workflow results. - Traveling to client locations as needed for discovery, working sessions, onboarding, and rollout support. Build relationships with both agency leaders and daily users. Success milestones: Within 30 days, your code is in production and you've shipped an improvement based on understanding a customer's workflow. At six months, you own a meaningful customer workflow or integration from discovery through production, with agency leaders trusting your technical judgment and delivery coordination. At twelve months, you've shipped something the company couldn't have built without you, turned recurring needs into reusable capabilities, and iterated on abstractions. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in ad tech and advertising with practical knowledge of media planning, campaign management, optimization, measurement, and reporting. Understand how agencies and ads managers work and connect technical decisions to business impact. - Client service experience and strong interest in helping customers succeed. Enjoy building relationships, understanding priorities, responding to feedback, and taking responsibility for follow-through. - Strong communication skills with nontechnical stakeholders including agency leaders and ads managers. Lead useful discovery conversations, explain technical tradeoffs without jargon, and set realistic expectations. - Track record of building and shipping production software used by real customers. Emphasis on what you've built and owned rather than years of experience. - Strong full-stack software engineering experience with fundamentals in system design, APIs, data models, interfaces, testing, debugging, and operating production software. - Comfort across the stack with real depth somewhere and no aversion to weaker areas. - Experience using or strong desire to become highly effective with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar. Should be excited to use them daily and technically strong enough to review their work, reject weak abstractions, catch edge cases, and remain accountable. - Curiosity about how LLMs change software products and development practices. Excited to develop judgment about where AI belongs and where conventional software is better. - Judgment over specification: turn open-ended requests into practical scope, set expectations, ship, and iterate fast. - Speed and ownership: comfortable using AI coding agents to move quickly while maintaining high standards for architecture, correctness, and maintainability. - Flexibility and willingness to travel to client locations as needed. Bonus experience includes: building and deploying software for agencies or advertisers; building integrations with external APIs, enterprise tools, or customer data systems; building with LLMs in production (evals, guardrails, tool use, retrieval, agent orchestration, cost/latency optimization); deep hands-on experience with Amazon DSP, retail media, or programmatic advertising; building real-time data pipelines at meaningful volume; operating production systems where correctness, permissions, auditability, or customer trust matter.
